I made Cruising (10 min, 1999) for the 1999 SPLICE THIS! Super-8 film festival workshop series. It is a hand developed hybrid between a slide show and a film, which at only 6 fps is still the fastest that people ever had to check out the action. It takes advantage of, and contributes to, our culture's ever more hyperactive speed of perception. This film anticipated the fast edits and flash still-frame craze that later became a standard device in videos and films in the '00s.
